Our Work
Worksheets
Our Saras Education Volunteers have been diligently creating educational worksheets for students aged 3-15, which have been utilized by institutions across India, including Euro Kids, Angel Express, and Abhyudaya. These worksheets originated from a club founded by Meghna at her high school, and the club remains active today.
As we continue to grow, we are expanding our outreach to even more educational institutions and partnerships. Our goal is to ensure that our math, English, and science worksheets reach as many children as possible, providing valuable learning resources throughout India and beyond.

JAPA Workbook
Since 2023, our organization joined forces with the Apa Sherpa Foundation and the Jane Goodall Institute to create a unique and invaluable resource for children in South Asia. Through the collaborative efforts of passionate volunteers, we transformed our worksheets and those of additional partners into an extensive study workbook, designed to empower children to learn independently.
This past April, our dedicated team, along with the support of the Apa Sherpa Foundation, undertook a remarkable journey to the base camp of Mount Everest. There, we had the privilege of distributing the JAPA workbooks— a heartfelt initiative blending the legacies of the Jane Goodall Institute and the Apa Sherpa Foundation—to eager young minds in Nepal's mountainous regions. The joy and excitement of the children upon receiving these educational resources was truly inspiring. This initiative was entirely carried out by voluntary dedication and underscores our commitment to nurturing education and fostering hope in the most remote corners of the world.

Virtual Lessons
When COVID-19 hit and the Katyal family couldn’t travel to Mumbai, Saras Education Fund jumped into action. Our first big move was to raise donations and send a laptop to a school in India and another to a rural village in Nepal, helping them stay connected and keep teaching.
During the lockdown, we quickly shifted to virtual classes on Zoom, staying connected with students who still wanted to learn. What started as a temporary solution has turned into a regular weekend fixture, with volunteers from Toronto now joining in to plan and teach. It’s been amazing to see how our community has come together to keep education going during these challenging times.
