Saras Education Fund was established in 2020, by Meghna Katyal, a dedicated then-high-school student from Toronto, Canada, with a profound commitment to improving educational opportunities in South Asia. Inspired by her firsthand experiences while visiting family and acting as a student teacher in Mumbai each summer, Meghna, witnessed the significant challenges faced by students in accessing quality education.
Motivated by these experiences, Meghna set out to create Saras Education Fund, an initiative dedicated to addressing educational disparities and supporting students in their pursuit of their academic dreams. Along with the help of her sister, Simran, and her mother, Monisha they aim to address their mission of providing resources and support that empower young learners and contribute to a brighter future for communities in South Asia.

Our Mission
At Saras Education Fund, we’re passionate about making a difference in the lives of students across South Asia. Our mission is to provide the resources and support needed to empower young learners and help them reach their full potential.
We offer interactive virtual classes that bring learning to life, develop engaging educational worksheets, and have even put together a workbook for students to use during their personal study time. By focusing on these areas, we aim to make education more accessible and effective, contributing to a brighter future for individuals and their communities.
